After a successful 30-year business career, from Morgan Stanley, to launching private equity firms and hedge funds, to starting and running public and private companies, Adam found himself unsettled by the deep divisions surfacing across the country in May 2020.
That moment became a turning point in his life. Adam decided to apply his entrepreneurial problem-solving skills to one of the most complex challenges of our time: America's growing divide. Committed to taking meaningful action, he began building relationships with leaders focused on strengthening their communities, including Sheriff Chris Swanson of Flint, Michigan. In 2021, the two co-founded US United. What began as a bold idea evolved into a national unity movement grounded in action and community impact.
Today, US United has built a network of close to 100 sheriffs committed to bringing unity into their communities. They have reached thousands of families across the country through giving events like the Holiday Spectacular, broken people out of their bubbles with a Unity Pledge and call to change the social media algorithm with weekly posts sharing acts of kindness and community connection; national online conversations called 30 For US; Unity Seats at professional sporting events across the NBA, WNBA, NFL, MLB, NWSL and more; and a recently completed summer cross-country road trip documenting real stories of unity happening at the grassroots level. Adam teaches audiences that they too can build unity in their careers and lives by following the Highway to Unity and that one voice is loud, but millions are a movement.
